Our project goal was to create a map for a Zoo or a park and illustrate the map. I chose "Welcome to the Louisville Zoo." I found a rough layout of the zoo and took it in to illustrated and illustrated the grounds of the Zoo. I then went in and created a symbol for the restroom, dining, and tram cart. I placed those according to the map. I used the symbol feature again and designed trees so I could scatter them around the zoo to add greenery. I illustrated the animals and placed them in the zoo where they would be. 

I redesigned the map entirely and eliminated a lot of components. I scrapped the footprints, the cliff for Gorilla Sanctuary, and the dots where the animals are. Instead of the gritty land texture for Africa, I chose a slight gradient from light brown to medium brown.
