Type Specimen Book
In this assignment, we were prompted to design and produce a 16+ page "specimen" for a typeface. I chose
to explore Adobe Garamond Pro, a font-face based on the old-style serif, Garamond. This font was
primarily used for book printing and for large bodies of text due to its superior legibility. Some examples of its use is in Harry Potter novels and The Hunger Games Trilogy. Because of this, I chose to display this
typeface as an aged literature book, based on Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone—My design incorporates
the Hogwarts Seal, Harry's acceptance letter and more.
