Seven Heavenly Virtues

For this project, we were instructed to create a group of seven graphic compositions that communicate the seven sins or heavenly virtues. I chose to portray the heavenly virtues. I tried to keep my color palette consistent using blues and yellows with some accent colors.  Follow this link to see my dropmark for more photos and other routes I considered. Thank you!!!

SEQUENCE COMPOSITION TYPE
pg 1 - Front cover - found image reflective of sin/virtue
pg 2 & 3 - introduction text provided in template - whitney sans
pg 4 & 5 - Chastity - an analogue collage - photographed or scanned. Use more than 3 image fragments from preciously printed sources (books, magazines, paper, packaging, postcards etc,) may use in combination with handrawn/painted elements throughout compostiton. No words or text. Can be full color or B/W.
pg 6 & 7 - Temperance - Letter forms only. Typographic solution, type as image. May use a word, but not temperance, but a word that signifies the meaning of both. Use full color or B/W.
pg 8 & 9 - Charity - personal full-color photo(s) incorporating a model
pg 10 & 11 - Diligence - personal photo(s) in duotone
pg 12 & 13 - Patience - photographed object, may be a found photo
pg 14 & 15 - Kindness - found photograph (full color/B/W) and hand lettered text (raster or vector)
pg 16 & 17 - Humility - constructed image - all elements and word in single photo that is a two page spread
pg 18 & 19 - image list, credits style provided in template - whitney sans
pg 20 - Back cover - found image reflective of virtue - could be continuation from front

This image is a compilation of three found images all courtesy of Shutterstock. I played with opacity on the front image that says virtues, so the back image would come through. I also reflected the back image horizontally so the top and bottom framed the middle virtues photo.
This spread was a type composition only. In the background are a list of temperate words but spiraling out of control, only to be pulled together to portray self-control.
For this spread, I chose two hands forming a heart and hand lettered 'be kind' in the center. I did the hand written text on a phone with a stylus pen.

For this spread, I chose to portray humility by balancing a feather and a rock. I made the balancing rock with styrofoam and textured spray paint. I stained wood blocks and hand painted the letters with gouache using stencils.
