FRADES - MILANO

Un ristorante che somiglia a una casa ispirata alle architetture della Sardegna, movimentata da muri e archi che si inseguono disegnando gli spazi, enfatizzati da elementi semplici e propri dell’architettura dell’isola: muri grezzi, pavimenti in pietra e legno, arredi in ferro e juta.
Il tutto riscaldato da arazzi, cuscini e tappeti realizzati a mano secondo un’iconografia precisa che racconta la Sardegna dei fratelli Paddeu (Frades in sardo) attraverso simboli antichi che diventano stilemi di design.

Su tutti la Dea Madre stilizzata che omaggia il lavoro di Costantino Nivola, grande artista del ‘900 originario di Orani, tra i padri del Bauhaus, che i “Frades” hanno voluto dedicare, con un tocco di romanticismo, alla madre.

A restaurant that remembers a house inspired by Sardinian architecture, enlivened by walls and arches that chase each other by designing spaces, emphasized by simple elements typical of the architecture of the island: rough walls, stone and wood floors, iron furnishings and jute.
All heated by tapestries, cushions and rugs made by hand according to a precise iconography that tells the Sardinia of the Paddeu brothers (Frades in Sardinian) through ancient symbols that become design stylistic features.

Above all, the stylized Mother Goddess who pays homage to the work of Costantino Nivola, a great 20th-century artist originally from Orani, one of the fathers of the Bauhaus, whom the “Frades” wanted to dedicate, with a touch of romance, to their mother.
