Briefing
Global Center was first founded as a small retailer of supplies for the visual communication market, specifically in digital prints.
We wanted to bring the concept of a cool, new, youthful, digital startup company. We like powerful colours, seeing as we predominantly use blue nowadays. But we also like the idea of a ‘colourless’ brand as it would enable us to apply different colours depending on the project. We hope to create our own identity in the market, from investing in graphic work, social media, product design, the interior design of the shop to the design of uniforms and name tags and vehicle exteriors that gives off the idea of a cool, simple, dynamic, youthful and intelligent.

Symbol
In several materials the colours CMYK are represented through circles, separated or even overlaid. The solution used was very simple, putting the circles together and applying a round mask. That way, the 4 colours were represented, CMY in orbit (Global) forming the black (K) in the middle (Center).

Color Palette
With the data gathered from the briefing, and with the market niche which Global Center belongs considered, I have decided to use the CMYK colours in this way. I have also opted for a modern, dark toned blue colour (formed by combining cyan and magenta) to contrast the other colours and to make the materials and applications stand out.
