Project Summary: The Motifs is an environment friendly hotel located in Historic town 'Chanthaboon Waterfront' Chanthaburi, Thailand. Although offering high-end and luxurious staying experience to the guests, The Motifs's main goal is to blend in with the locals and support the local's business while also caring for the nature. After I've done my research and limited myself with only 3 keywords; humble, surrounding, historical -- these are the words I've stick around with to the end of a project and whenever I felt lost in the sea of ideas I'd come back to these words.
Logo Notes: It was a fun development process and idea explorations that inspired by the local's handcrafts (weaving mats and furnitures that been used in the hotel), the gimmick flower of Chanthaboon, and for this chosen one -- our final logo concept; The Motifs itself is a storyteller and because hotel business is all about experiencing the space, I wanted to capture and turn the hotel's stories into a logo concept.
Stationery Notes: I thought it would be nice for hotel staffs to able to write their messages, notes, hashtags to a person they are giving a card to -- I just think it's more memorizing, whenever we see a handwritten message it makes us hard to forget about the moments or that person who wrote us.
