BIOCAFE WITH A BEEKEEPER
The ZIKZAK team managed to design a bee pipe and honeycomb without disturbing a single bee.
The project started with an apiary and BEEGRAM: bee Instagram.
In the afternoon, the guys take care of the bees, by at night, BEEboxes are packed with cream honey and sent to customers. A new round of evolution – its own cafe with honey-based desserts. We at ZIKZAK have learned a lot about bees.
CONCEPT
ZIKZAK’s bionic design gently envelops the room in a honeyed spirit. A living beehive with transparent walls: bees peacefully survive the invasion of a sweet tooth.
IMPLEMENTATION
An interactive bionic art object has been developed at the crosshairs of two halls, an entrance and a bar counter:
- a round table with a base in the form of an old oak beehive;
- a transparent column made of anti-vandal glass;
- in the center of the column – living honeycombs hanging from the ceiling;
- a bee chute, imitation of honeycombs with cardboard sleeves, so that little workers it was convenient to fly about their bee business;
- bionic honey lights.
The ZIKZAK team provided for the replacement of the observation hive with a biolighting lamp for the winter: honeycombs with LED-backlighting. Eco-design is continued by honeycombs on the walls made of volumetric cardboard sleeves and metal 3D lamps covered with fabric. The palette plays with shades of honey and nuts, supported by live greenery around the halls.
The ergonomic layout effectively uses supporting structures and space:
- two halls for visitors, a kitchen and an administrative area with a fire exit;
- a niche for a table for a large company with sofas;
- the kitchen is separated from the hall by a wall and a rack with cells in the form of a barrel cut with apiary products;
- a wall between large windows is highlighted by a niche in the form of a barrel cut with a comfortable sofa;
streamlined furniture is designed and geometric shapes: sofas, tables, chairs, shelves, bar counter, refrigerated display case, drinks rack;
- an elegant hanger solution: wooden rods in a checkerboard pattern fill a free wall;
- semicircular metal lamps with a directional light – exactly above the tables of the visitors.
