Baku State Circus was my final school project. I thought by choosing this rebranding it would be dynamic and fun to work with. However, after researching deeply on the topic I have realized that circus wasn't place of joy and amusement it was quite opposite. It was place of torture where animals were treated poorly and disgracefully.
Even though, I am against of cutlery as a designer our job to find a beauty in ugliness and to be light in the darkness.
Since, the circus can operate locally as well as internationally, I wanted to add local motives and touches to my logo as a representation of art and culture. Therefore, I decided to integrate carpet ornaments and movements of gymnasts into my design and logo concept.
