Color Theory MCOLORT Final Course Requirement

This is a revamped brand identity concept of the province of Isabela that aims to encapsulate a saturated culture of an enormous land filled with endless possibilities. As part of my color theory class requirements, the goal was to create a refreshed look of an assigned locality in the Philippines.

Isabela is known for its numerous granaries, but because of its far-reaching borders surrounding magnificent landmarks and attractions, I wanted to show that Isabela has more to offer than just corn and rice.

Residing in Region II of the Philippines, Cagayan Valley, Isabela is the 2nd largest province in the country. The province is famous for its title of “The Rice and Corn Granary of Luzon”, and “The Queen Province of the Philippines”. Most of its 10,655 square kilometers of territory is rich in its local produce, corn. Not only because of its abundance in granaries, but also its highly progressive agriculture industry amplified by its local communities that it is a locality considered as one of the highly acclaimed first-class provinces in the Philippines.
There are three subordinating concepts that compose the refreshed brand. The first one is that the province is tied to royalty, as it has a strong identity from being named “Isabella de Luzon” in 1856, after Queen Isabela II, with a high abundance in corn and rice granaries. Secondly, it is an overwhelmingly large province, solely occupying 3% of the entire country with three sub-regions: Western, Eastern, and Coastal Isabela. Lastly, with its plethora of natural resources and magnificent landmarks, what this brand aims to emphasize is your freedom to frame your adventure, hence the frame made out of two hands.

These three destinations were chosen based on their respective areas to serve as supporting icons that would be shown across the brand. Being the second largest province in the Philippines, this brand aims to emphasize the numerous attractions that feature massive landscapes and breathtaking views for tourists and locals.
