Design Objective:

I was asked to create a theme for Catawba Valley Community College’s upcoming art show. For the project, I was asked to create the theme that would apply to this year, a name that could carry over into the years to come. The physical collateral consisted of postcards, banners, posters, and a website promoting the students and the art show.  

Design Brief:

I began the process of brainstorming by coming up with names that would apply to Visual Art, Advertising + Graphic Design, and Photographic Technology. I eventually chose “Vision” for the different programs because Vision is a vital skill in all of those fields of study. Then with the name, I decided to create a photoshop composite that would encompass all the departments. An eye that was composed of a camera lens, drawing, and code would make up the three departments represented. The logo “Vision” was kept simple so that It would easily fit with the future themes. The color palette is purple and pink to give off a very whimsical feel.
