Zumiez Apparelellaporium was an online video game where customers could play to unlock and purchase exclusive product from 4 of our most popular brands. As an experiential retail scavenger hunt, customers who uncovered hidden codes got access to extremely limited or one-of-a-kind merchandise. We also started a community on Discord where customers could share game tips and tricks, chat with each other and engage with Zumiez.
In order to create a surreal cyberspace shopping extravaganza, the look and feel of the promotion and video game was inspired by old school 90s computer games and dream-like funhouse imagery.
