Montana's New Fronds
Children’s book cover. Illustrate the most important character or theme in a book.
In developing the idea for the assignment I decided to create a drawing of my god daughter and her love of plants. I chose a soft pastel brush and mixer to blend each of the shades seamlessly to give the appearance of real skin. The font used in the book title reflects the whimsical nature of the subjects smile and the connection to nature and having a plant as a friend.
