Patta - A New Brand for Pets



Challenge
The challenge was to create a specialist pet brand to be sold exclusively in pharmacies. A new brand specialised
in nutrition, special diets, supplements and general health care for cats and dogs, able to transform pharmacies
into a place for the whole family, including pets.​​​​​​​

Strategy
Patta is a reference to the word “paw” in Portuguese. Aims to be bold enough to get attention inside pharmacies
but at the same time maintain credibility, thus the strategy is to create balance between these two different worlds. A friendly and positive brand with the necessary technicality to become a reference.

Solution
The packaging design is inspired in a magazine covers’ structure with the brand logo bold on top. Information is structured and clean, inspired in medicines and pharmaceutical communication. Photography is used as a key element, which results in high visibility when placed on shelf, but the main characters are our friendly pets photographies. Their imagery intends to create an emotional connection with consumers inside pharmacies, making the products look fun and appealing.

Everybody cares about their animal friends, and we all like them to -give paw- (Patta) to us. So, we ask pet owners to give "paw" back, with an inspiring brand signature: “Patta (paw), to give is to care.”
