RIVERS Thermo Jug Concept Model
2020 | Client: Rivers
This is a concept model for a tabletop warming jug for RIVERS, a Japanese brand that focuses on drinkware.
We came up with three designs that were retro, rugged, and reminiscent of mid-century American design. Rather than the mechanical styling of existing tabletop jugs, the shape is designed to blend in with daily life as tableware, mimicking mid-century ceramic and plastic jugs.
「ドリンクウェア」にフォーカスしたプロダクトを展開する日本のブランドRIVERSに提供した、卓上保温ジャグのコンセプトモデル。
レトロかつ無骨で、ミッドセンチュリーのアメリカンデザインを想起させるようなデザインを3案考案しました。卓上ジャグの既存品に見られるメカニカルなスタイリングではなく、ミッドセンチュリーのセラミックジャグやプラスチックジャグを模したような、テーブルウェアとして生活に溶け込む形状にまとめています。
