
2020 has taught us to slow down and realize the world should protect half the planet. I'm on a mission to support a kind organization called Dear Green Santa, who believe in creating a greener, brighter, happier place for life to flourish.
The brand was built on a story about the Green Santa, Santa Claus' brother, who lives in the woods surrounded by lovely woodland creatures. He heard that children want a healthier planet, with cleaner air, more trees, more smiles on people's faces. So he endeavours to make their wishes come true! He asks the nation to write a letter about "what's your wish for the planet this Christmas?" Our team posted the letters and messages on social media to generate engagement and shares. Schools are joined in via the website, which hosts an excellent school pack and activity play sheets for kids to express their dreams and ideas about the planet.
The green Santa identity is inspired by the woodcutting style illustration of a smiling Santa wearing a traditional Santa hat, with a global bubble. Expressing love and kindness in an authentic way and introducing a handwritten font to add fun and freedom for the branding.
