Here is a little personal project of mine, dedicated to graffiti and street culture.
I have been painting graffiti since 2007. Lots of things have changed trough the years - the city, the places, the brands etc.
But most important changes have happened inside me. For many years I was pretty much frustrated with my overall progress in graffiti. It was hard to accept, that for many years I have been repeating myself over and over again. I was doing the same places, the same colors. For many years I was doing the same peace over and over again.
Since 2018 I started to created series of works, which helped me to expand both my skills and my graffiti vision. Here they are - The White series and The Black series. But that was not enough. I felt like it was a step in the right direction, but just a small one. It took me years to understand - graffiti is not enough for me. The theme of writing my name over and over again on different surfaces does not appeal for me anymore.
However...it is so scary to move on. The ten pieces you will see below are the ten pieces, which are created in a new and exciting technique, based on lots of skotch, straight lines and geometry. It is still graffiti, and I am still formally a graffiti writer. But I feel that this technique hide lots of potential inside it. It is not enough for me to be a graffiti artist anymore. This series continues my transformation and my journey as an artist. And where I am going I do not know...
