Hello, I want to share one new project with you. It is an animated video for a song. This song named "Tėčio kava" (eng. "Dad's coffee") was created in Lithuanian and it belongs to a new lullabies album for children and families (it includes not only calm and slow songs).
Song tells us a story about how the morning of the family is starting and how much mom doesn't like it. Happily, dad has a solution and makes coffee to cheer her up.
I included some other characters such as cat, kids, and grandmother to make the video more interesting and playful.
There you can see the scene where dad is making coffee. I used masks to create a water and milk filling effect.
Actually, the most challenging character to create was a cat. Especially, cat walking. First I create a full cat body in different parts in Adobe Illustrator and then tried to follow some tutorials for rigging and animating it with the Duik plugin. Unfortunately, it wasn't so successful and I definitely need more practice with it. So I spent much more time than I planned and remade the leg rig and walk animation by hand. However, I left face features an ears rig with Duik and add tail moves using Rubber Hose.
