Jasper-reinvented
This project was a live brief for working with Wedgwood. The brief that i choose to try was called jasper- reinvented to create unique pieces that showed the famous jasperware in a different light. I want to create a series on mini vessels that are able to store a range of objects, also when lined up together they create a landscape with the different heights. As this was to reinvent jasperware i chose to create a controlled marble effect with the slip as i wanted to use a range of bright colours.
To make sure i created a new different effect as marble has been used before by Wedgwood i created a lot of test samples of flat and 3D marble effects to see the range of outcomes i would get as well as to see whether the colours complimented each other or not.
I think the result i achieved was unique and special. With the marble effect i like how each piece is going to be different and never the same but also with the technique used it creates a seam that is not straight or hidden it kind of shows it off and embraces it which i also really like.
