Lieutenant Leonard Lugo is a law enforcement professional with a career that spans two decades. Throughout his career, Leo Lugo has sought specialized training and education to provide him with the tools he needs to succeed. Leo’s advanced training and professional certification track record is a testament to his commitment of excellence as a police official. Working with the Westfield Police Department as a Platoon Commander in Westfield Township, New Jersey, Leo provides supervisory support and field training for the next generation of police officers.

Leo Lugo served as the team leader for the Crisis and Hostage Negotiations Unit of the Union County Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) department for 10 years. In 2016, the unit under his leadership was recognized for its excellence in accomplishing the goals and objectives of the SWAT team during a hostage crisis. This is only one of the many recognitions Leo received as a career law enforcement officer.
