I have been blessed with the opportunity to draw with both my hands. To my fortune I can use my right hand when my left hand had an accident. It’s a very strange experience so look at my drawings from another perspective.

 

A creative expression is a visual mnemonic technique, but at the same time a machine of oblivion. Any photograph, drawing or graphic print is also a profound memory loss. The water is a mirror in which the image drowns. The artistic expression can be the charmer or the fascinations. It can be scary or insane. 

 

Whether one is preoccupied with artistic intention, as surveillance, as evidence, as documentation, as abuse, as care. The artistic intention may even shift from one to the other, completely without taking into account any intentions they came into the world with. 

 

As Roland Barthes has put it, the photographic image is an inverted prophecy that never lies or rather: It can lie about the meaning of the thing, as it is by nature tendentious, but never about its existence.”

 

 

Et kreativt udtryk er en visuel mnemoteknik, men samtidig en glemselsmaskine. Ethvert fotografi, tegning eller grafisk tryk er også et dybt hukommelsestab. Vandet er et spejl, som billedet drukner i. Det kunsteriske udtryk kan være charmeren eller fascinationerne. Det kan være skræmmende eller vanvittigt. 

 

Om man er optaget med kunstnerisk intention, som overvågning, som bevisførelse, som dokumentation, som overgreb, som omsorg. Den kunsteriske intention kan endda skifte fra det ene til det andet, helt uden hensyntagen til de eventuelle hensigter, de kom til verden med. 

 

Som Roland Barthes har formuleret det, så er det fotografiske billede eller rettere: Det kan lyve om tingens mening, da det af naturen er tendentiøst, men aldrig om dens eksistens.”
