Hi there!
This is a very "ancient" project created by my GF & me in 2007 ˆoˆ while we learning at the academy, really got lots of fun in those days.
The project is an exploration about the combination of Ancient Chinese traditional pattern and modern artistic design. We selected four characters from the Brick of image in Han Dynasty as the creative benchmark, then redesigned and restructured with mechanical elements, in order to reach an uncommon unique and memorable visual cognition and feeling. We've tried different degrees of abstraction on expression, from 3D render to flatten graphic, even tested the physical machine parts into branding design etc. Lollll˜˜
And at last, this work won the 2nd place of National Fine Arts Exhibition Award that year.
