2012
Print collateral created to celebrate the heritage of a
historic section of El Paso, Texas.
This was an event to encourage a very storied area in El Paso to come together as one. An area up until only recently was known more for gangs and drug deals than for being one of the oldest neighborhoods this side of the Mississippi. Everyone was invited to celebrate this new resurgence of community pride. There were many elements to the massive "block party," such as free food supplied by local sponsors, a 5K race to raise awareness, traditional folklorico dancing, a health fair for families, a historical neighborhood walk, and many others.

I had the honor of being the designer for the campaign print collateral and media graphics. There is a lot of
really interesting artwork in the neighborhoods and it made for a fun project. I also got a chance to do a few illustrations that made the cut. Most of the pieces had a ton of content crammed into them .... but
from what
I've heard from the client, they were quite effective in resonating with the community. I can live with that.
