This was originally an idea for a prosthetic I had during freshman year of college. Unfortunately I couldn't figure the mechanism out in time for it to be a proper project to show for finals so I took it home to work on it in my own time.

My SolidWorks assembly render before I decided I had to choose a different project.

I made a cardboard model (left) at first to see if it worked but I couldn't really tell unless I was actually wearing it so I started building some prototypes. For the first prototype (right), making four fingers with such thick material was proving to be too difficult, which is why there are only two.

It somewhat works...

This is currently the second prototype which is a work in progress, now that I have gained more experience during the past couple of years that I had dropped this project.
