Background
The objective of this project is to craft a personal narrative and establish a brand aesthetic through a series of collateral pieces, with a one-sheet being the focal point. The aim is not only to highlight distinctive aspects of yourself and your capabilities but also to lay the groundwork for your professional endeavors.
Note: This project constitutes the first installment of a two-part series, the second part being a tradeshow exhibit.
Design Elements
Typography:
Amatic SC: Chosen for prominent headlines due to its fun yet bold and eye-catching demeanor.
Istok Web: Selected for sub-header text to provide contrast and stand out effectively.
Palanquin: Primarily used for its simplicity and legibility, ensuring a coherent visual hierarchy.
Color Palette:
The color palette aims to convey trust and creativity while maintaining simplicity. #1c2b39 serves as the primary color for all text to ensure legibility and exude professionalism.
One Sheet Development
Crafting the one sheet posed the challenge of infusing personal work while maintaining a fun and creative design approach. The key concept involved creating a collage-like composition featuring my illustrative characters.
The process began by importing previous illustrations into Photoshop, followed by scaling and cleaning up background elements for coherence.
Various layout iterations were explored, determining layering and sizing arrangements among the characters to achieve visual balance.
Additionally, a header and biography section were incorporated, curving text around illustrations to facilitate a natural visual flow.
A footer containing personal links for self-promotion was added, complemented by a paper background texture to enhance thematic cohesion.
The final outcome is a personalized promotion one sheet reflecting my illustrative flair, showcasing capabilities, and providing insights into myself and my brand.
