In order to safely descend the slopes, it is crucial for a mountain climber to know what time the sun will set. Closed Watch informs its wearer in intuitive way.
Closed Watch has been designed for recreational hikers and professional climbers. The time of the sunset changes with the season, so Closed Watch allows the wearer to select the season by pressing one of two buttons on the sides of the watch. When sunset approaches, the face of the watch turns black behind the hour hand. (The minutes are shown with digits.) The time remaining until sunset remains bright. The climber needs to descend before the watch face becomes fully covered.
Closed Watch takes an intuitive approach to telling the time. It can also be used without the ‘sunset’ function.
