Since 1943 ,  16 presidents controlled Syria . In these 69 years, some of the presidents were democratically elected, others took charge by a coup d'etat.
14 of these presidents controlled for a total of 28 years from 1943-1971.

40 years of control.
Stop the control of this one regime. The Syrian people deserve to choose.
