Air Force 1943 is a vertically scrolling Arcade Shoot’em Up with hand-drawn graphics and frame-by-frame animations made by Weatherlight.
Under the guide of the Art Director, I developed and polished the art of Airforce 1943.
The products I worked on are:
• promotional illustrations
• in game assets (airplanes, clouds and menu elements)
• the ocean environment (ocean bed and islands)
My tasks included:
• to develop the specific mood addressed by the Art Director
• to research and study the theme of the game and its elements
• to find a cohesive style and visual language through out the artistic development (render style, palette, perspective, shapes etc...)
• to dialogue with the programmers with adeguate files for all their needs, such as shaders or sprites for specific effects
