ISLAND VILLA
In collaboration with Simone Reynolds
The design of the Island Villa suggests a traditional approach to a home-away-from-home, in a modern vernacular integrating stylistic and climatic building typologies of the context.
The building is situated on a plot of land adjoining onto the coastline and facing the ocean towards the east with a lush vegetative barrier between.
The client approached us with a design concept, but required the building to be scaled down substantially and re-imagined with a new design concept whilst retaining some suggestive spatial arrangements and stylistic elements.
