This Boaw and Arrow was a third year project in which we had to take an existing mechanism and alter it's design and purpose. I chose a ratchet screwdriver and repurposed it into a locking mechanism for this bow, allowing the user to draw the arrow back, then remove their draw hand and fire the bow one handed via a small switch located on the grip. The riser is hand shaped Purple Heart wood, and the arms are made from laminated fiberglass.
