Re-packaging a mundane and everyday object, the coathanger, in a manner that moves it away from the ordinary and gives it a brief holiday from keeping clothes off the floor.
The task is approached with some black humour and so the hangers are packaged
with, er, (allowing a little licence with the language here) hangers? There are many hangmen from history who might have featured in the collection but the three chosen have
gained particular notoriety. John Ketch for his barbarism, Albert Pierrepoint for the infamy of those he despatched and John Ellis for his own gruesome end. The stories of these men make for engaging, if on the grim side, copy on the packaging.
The concept and finish are pitched at the male gift market. The images and type are screenprinted onto heavy recycled card.
