UX/UI Design - CFPC Professional Learning Plan (PLP)
UX Research • Prototyping • Testing • Evaluation
Business Goal
The main goal is to increase the number of Family Physicians using PLP and helping members to identify gaps, learning plans, and follow through plan, for improving their Family Physicians Practice.
Key Challenge
There is no feature to provide meaningful academic feedback to help Family Physicians to save time and to help them to follow through learning plan.
Solution
To automatically pre-populate online courses based on the personal Professional Learning Plans (PLP). To make online learning easy and customizable and to have built in reminders for renewal and to follow up of the courses and on registrations from the CPD Events Calendar.
User Story
“As a Family Physician, I want to be able to efficiently identify my practice gaps and create learning goals, for improving my practice.”

Prototyping • Testing • Evaluation
The usability test objectives:

• To determine design inconsistencies and usability problem areas within the user interface and content areas. Potential sources of error may include:
    • Navigation errors– failure to locate functions, excessive keystrokes to complete a function, failure to follow recommended screen flow.
    • Presentation errors– failure to locate and properly act upon desired information in screens, selection errors due to labels lacking precision.
    • Control usage problems– improper toolbar or entry field usage.

• Exercise the PLP tool under controlled test conditions with users. Data will be used to access usability goals regarding an effective, efficient, and well-received user interface have been achieved.

• Establish baseline user performance and user-satisfaction levels of the user interface for future usability evaluations.

• I suggested moderated testing in this stage of the prototyping phase, where features may be incomplete or not even work, a moderator can help answer questions and explain the unclear parts and keep things on course.
