Re-branding Project for Design Zeal Studio.
Design Zeal Studio is a business established in 2013 based in Quetta, Pakistan. Offering a wide variety of Architectural Design, Engineering Solution, Interior Design, and Construction Services.
Approach
The idea for the new logo is to make it modern & more fine-tuned with the philosophy of the business. As the business has grown a lot since its inception its logo has become more significant, thus requires a complete overhaul.
Mind Mapping
First of all, we reviewed the previous brand elements & guidelines to get a basic understanding of the business then we started working on visual identity by holding briefing sessions, during which we further reviewed the business model, core values, essence, vision, and mission of the brand, and then came up with a set of keywords, followed by mind map design and Other keywords
could be reached.
Sketches
Reviewing data collected in the previous steps, we concluded that the business is inclined towards geometric symbols, architectural elements, shapes, lines & storks. While sketching we explored few possibilities of how this could lead.
Logo Exploration
Using raw data & drawing ideas achieved through sketch, as source material. By mix & matching the raw drawing elements, few logo concepts were created.
Logo Construction
In designing and arranging the components of the logo, coherence, coordination,
and at the same time visual balance is of great importance, Managing negative and positive spaces and reviewing the result in different dimensions and media were the most important challenges in this section.
Color
Once the geometry of the logo has been identified, the next step is the selection of hues for the logo. Colors are important because they are one of the few psychological ways to communicate as a brand. The process of selection is fairly simple & straightforward, provided that the tone of business & vision/mission is previously understood.
