For Art Editorial Class, I realised a poster for a (non-existing) discussion on Functional Illiteracy, (Analfabetismo funzionale, in Italian). Statistics demonstrate that 47% of Italians can be considered functional illiterate – that means they can write, work, communicate without actually having a deep understanding of what they’re talking about.
I visually represent this issue in contradiction with the great Italian Literature and the Portrait of one of its greatest authors, Alessandro Manzoni. I realised two different versions - one more chaotic and the second more clean.
