YCN - Thames Clippers

Below is my entry for this years YCN Thames Clippers brief.  Thames Clippers run a fleet of high speed catamarans which carry over 7000 passengers a day.  It is a unique way to travel whether you are commuting to and from work or seeing the sights of London.  The aim is simple…promote the service and caputure those who have not used Thames Clippers before.


My concepts have been inspired by a ‘ship in a bottle’ and  ‘a message in a bottle’ themes.  The bottle would be of mineral water which can be handed out as a promotional tool as well as being sold onboard the fleet of catamarans. The ship in a bottle idea takes shape on the back of a vertical label which only covers half the container.  The Thames Clipper catamaran logo would be visible through the other side of the bottle along with other facts about the company.

The second label idea would actually be message ‘on’ a bottle.  The principle being on the reverse side of a horizontal label the message is the Thames Clipper route map and company information.

Both labels are intended to be peeled off for people to keep and reuse.  All these elements tie in with the slogans
‘Rehydrate your journey’ and ‘A refreshing way to travel’.
