Ornamental accumulation was the main and mandatory theme for this school project. The project consisted in creating a collection of 5 different tailored suits that included 4 pieces each, a suit jacket, suit pants, a vest and a shirt.
As a source of inspiration I chose the Rococo era, one of the richest periods in ornaments and accumulation of all times. As a sub-theme I chose the flowers and their significant presence in this époque and translated it into precious applications on the garments. Floral shapes were also an inspiration for creating the silhouettes. In the collection "Blossoming past" we can also perceive some tints of brutalist architecture in some of the pieces; the very straight shapes and lines gracefully combined with the organic cuts inspired in flowers form beautiful silhouettes.
