The Van Cleef & Arpels house wanted a film to present a new poetic complication : the Midnight Zodiac Lumière.
This horological innovation introduces the production of light by a mechanical movement.
Van Cleef & Arpels continues its exploration of the astronomical universe by associating in this model the signs of the western zodiac and their constellation.
To highlight the poetic dimension of this horological complication, our introduction evokes a journey into an imaginary astronomical universe, both technical and dreamlike.
A telescope is the starting point of our story. It gives both a more astronomical and scientific character and allows for variations of scales in the observation of celestial objects. The astronomical environment and the design of a sky map appear as the light dims down.
Constellations emerge linked together by rays of light crossing space.
