Robotic Dreams/NationalNightmares is the film I wrote and directed alongside the writing of my MA thesis in 2005/2006. It's by no means perfect but I think it does a good job of highlighting the issues I wanted to discuss in my paper.
Those being, the state of South African filmmaking at the time and the filmmaking model adopted by local filmmakers. If you want, take a look at the essay embedded below.
In March 2006, Robotic Dreams/National Nightmares was selected for and screened (out of competition) at The Right Eye Film Festival in Cape Town.
Entered into Mnet's EDiT online film festival in 2008, the film won the best short film category.
