PAPELETA(O)
Fui convidado pela professora e BFF Andreia Marin para criar o projeto gráfico, capa e ilustrações para seu livro Papeleta(o), um compêndio de memórias pessoais e acadêmicas povoado por animais não-humanos. A capa remete à camuflagem das zebras, um dos animais com os quais Andreia se identifica no decorrer do livro: seu título é ilegível à primeira vista, mas visível para um observador mais atento. Por se tratar de um projeto tão pessoal, me pareceu obrigatório que as ilustrações remetessem diretamente à autora, traduzida em uma personagem com grandes olhos - como Andreia - mas sem boca, já que a mesma termina o livro com uma bela apologia ao silêncio.
I was invited by teacher and BFF Andreia Marin to create the graphic project, cover and illustrations for her book Papeleta(o), a compendium of personal and academic memories populated by non-human animals. The cover refers to the camouflage of the zebras, one of the animals with which Andreia identifies throughout the book: its title is illegible at first glance, but visible to a more attentive observer. Because it is such a personal project, it seemed mandatory to me that the illustrations refer directly to the author, translated into a character with big eyes - like Andreia - but without a mouth, since she ends the book with a nice apologia for silence.
