Transición a Tensión

Transición a Tensión.
This project was part of a competition which consisted on designing a pavilion that would function as the main entrance to an architectural exhibition at the School of Architecture, UANL. from Monterrey, Mexico.

The rules of the competition were that each team would build a structure by themselves and only recycle materials were allowed to be use without altering their physical properties in order to permit a non-altered recycle cycle.

We as a team decided to use used cardboard tubes out of paper rolls from the plotter and ixtle rope, forming the structure out of triangular models which allows a flexibility and easy handling. Perfect to allow the adaptability of a form proposed to create a transition from public to exhibition space.

The pavilion was determined to stay up for a whole week, which received excellent critics and was even allow to stay up for the whole semester.
