A Bahia de Rubem Valentim ao Baiana System
O projeto celebra a Bahia como importante centro brasileiro de projeção e renovação cultural.
Aqui são apresentadas as histórias concomitantes do artista Rubem Valentim e do Sound System,
movimento cultural de origem jamaicana que foi estopim para o surgimento dos trios elétricos que
tiveram como maior expoentea lendária dupla elétrica Dodô e Osmar. Essa combinação foi uma
inspiração para o premiado grupo musical Baiana System, revelando uma continuidade entrelaçada
e inventiva da multiplicidade artística baiana.

Rubem Valentim's Bahia to the Baiana System
The project celebrates Bahia as an important Brazilian center for cultural projection and renewal.
Here are presented the concurrent stories of the artist Rubem Valentim and the Sound System,
a cultural movement of Jamaican origin that was the trigger for the emergence of the electric trios
that had as their greatest exponent the legendary electric duo Dodô and Osmar. This combination
was an inspiration for the award-winning musical group Baiana System, revealing an intertwined
and inventive continuity of Bahian artistic multiplicity.
