If you can't handle me at my Kali,
You don't deserve me at my Shakti
The Hindu Goddesses Kali and Shakti, who sometimes are argued to be different sides of the same deity, represent the many contrasting sides of female strength. The Goddess of destructive power, Kali, is both frightening and awe-inspiring, beautiful in a way that isn’t always pretty - not shallow, not manageable, not comfortable. The more ethereal, softer Shakti on the other hand symbolises the creative power, and plays an ever-important role in the cycle of birth and re-birth.

The different emotions and traits of both these Goddesses much resemble the different seasons of the female cycle. Therefore, it can be argued that to give space to the power of both of these goddesses, is to experience the full spectrum of being female. Therefore, if you can't handle me at my Kali, you don't deserve me at my Shakti.
