With few Mexican typefaces on the market, and even fewer reflecting authentic Mexican culture I felt very disappointed. Having lived in Puebla, Mexico for various years I was inspired by the "Talavera" pottery seen in many markets. The tear drop adornments often seen on "Talavera" pieces seemed like the staple to emulate in this typeface. The thin/thick qualities of each letter lend themselves to motion and a diverse range of uses.
