People have been resisting societal, political, stereotypical and other baseless beliefs and practices since ages now. Whether it be equality for all genders, protecting the environment or standing up against unfavourable political norms and regulations, people in one way or another depict resistance either through their actions or other visible semiotics including how they present themselves in terms of looks, garments, accessories, motifs, etc.
Today, various fashion items and symbols which hold a certain significance in history in terms of making a statement have became mere items of fashion accessory but in some some cases their lineage isn't broken and is carried on in the same way or by modifying them a little.
Here are a few examples of people around me or whom I know who show resistance (or items of resistance) in their own way by their clothes, accessories, looks and personalities.
