2021 - An ongoing series of images reflecting the emotion behind love and loss. The work aims to capture a dreamy and poetic representation of non-traditional animal portraits in a domestic environment.

For me it is never meant to be artificially composed. I see a subject luminous in spilling sunshine and therein lies the authentic and raw emotion. 

When the sun breaks through the clouds, I feel a glimmer of optimism that the heartache is worth the gift of love, because like yin and yang, love and loss must come hand in hand. - Caroline Mia
