Are you not entertained?

The first thing that I thought of when I entered this room and saw the three pro-wrestlers anxious for the chance to go out to their "stage" and perform was the orgins of pro-wrestling. This setting made me think about the days when pro-wrestling was a traveling act and the wrestlers brought all of their worldly possession along with them. It was nice to seem somewhat of a tribute to that era of time.
With having some experience in combat sports and the pre-fight gitters it was very easy to see/feel the same feeling in this room. In the two photographs above just as each boxer or MMA fighter has his own way of dealing with what seems like an endless amount of time before "it's time" it was interesting to see pro-wrestlers go through those exact same emotions in their own ways.
I truely had no idea that this was going to happen or where it would happen, but sometimes you're just in the right place at the right time. This might be one of my favorite photographs that I've ever shot.
With the popularity of MMA growing sometimes I feel like the roots of the sport can be lost. Oddly enough, by watching this pro-wrestling match it reminded me of the commonality between MMA and pro-wrestling or almost any sport for that matter... entertainment.
