What is E-Waste?

Electronic waste has trailed modern civilization since Edison’s time. Yet the amount of electronic waste, sometimes referred to as e-waste, has increased exponentially in the last few years. The EPA tells us that e-waste is the fastest growing waste stream for urban areas. According to the Consumer Electronics Association, each American household now owns an average of twenty-four electronic products. Eventually, those objects will wear down and/or be replaced. In 2009, Americans threw away 2.37 million tons (47 billion pounds) of e-waste. https://www.wastex.com/what-is-e-waste-and-how-can-toxic-waste-disposal-companies-help/
