A student project that aims to redesign a classic family game and create a collectable version that is worthy of display.
Since 1988, Scattergories has been a family favorite board game. The box design, however, only added to the clutter of the infamous overstuffed board game cabinet. This project takes advantage of the opportunity to create a collectors version of this classic game.
Challenged to design a coffee table worthy display piece, I redesigned the box and it’s content with a geometric and colorful design that included illustrative nods to the past. Breaking from the conventional rectangular design of the box, the oval wood box contrasts the colorful and visually full designs.
