Kodokan Judo Book
This Thesis sets as it’ s main goal, the study, production design and materialization of a collector’s book publish, referring to Judo, through development and application of a big part of the knowledge level that the Department of Graphic Design and Visual Communication has to offer. It elaborates all necessary steps and the methodology to begin from the initial idea, proceed through several crucial chapters and conclude to a fully assembled handmade book edition, in limited number.
This book is a limited product completely hand-made and is available for a handful of enthusiasts in the world. Its unique features make it impossible to be copied. The ink is made out of water, resin, ink additives, pigments and the authors blood. Therefore, even if all of the steps and materials are - somehow - preproduced, there will still be one ingredient missing. Nevertheless, it is forbidden to reproduce, re-print or publish this book by any means, without the written permission by the Author.
