Ha Nguyen is an attorney experienced in corporate, commerce, contract, and immigration. She is admitted to practice law both in the State of California and in Vietnam. Ms. Nguyen has handled various international matters involving investments in Vietnam, and business and immigration in the U.S.
She approached me to create a visual identity for her start-up company. The goal is to create an identity with simplicity, yet flexibility, and also reflects her personality as a demure but strong and very independent woman. Besides, it helps to distinguish her company from other small law firms in California by its unique look. The logo was inspired by her journey to the U.S and became an attorney after long years of studying and assiduity in working all by herself.
During making the logo, instead of using images relating to law, I wanted to exploit her story. I was moved by her self-dependent journey to become an attorney in the U.S. She has no relatives in this very country, and to exchange students, getting a U.S green card is extremely arduous.
Due to Ms. Nguyen’s painstaking and dedicated ethic in studying and working, not only did she successfully manage to have one, but she also passed the law exam to be an official attorney in the U.S. After working for several law firms, with the abilities, passion, and ambition she has, she started her own company.
I love this beauty of her and that’s why I wanted to bring it to the logo. I could not think of any better concept rather than using geometric shapes since they portrait her characteristics impeccably and also her practice areas.
