In the wilderness, tracks can be unclear and hard to follow, causing problems and dangers to those who are unfamiliar with the terrain. People can become disorientated from losing sight of the track. I am designing a wayfinding system to aid trampers in reaching their destination in the bush. The wayfinding system can be applied to other tramping areas, yet for this project I am focusing on the Waiohine Gorge area. My design will aid and inform trampers when walking from the start of the track to their destination.
